May 25, · Despite its title, this is not a book strictly about whales, but rather a hodge-podge of myriad information on almost everything related to whales, whaling, Moby Dick and its author. The structure of the book is quite intricate, with different subjects often intertwined, and the same subject sometimes scattered along different parts of the book, what I found sometimes annoying/5(64). As promised by the title, this book is about Whales. It is a basic setup of nice picture on on side and information on the other side. The language used is specific to ocean life, making this a challenge of the child does not have prior knowledge and vocabulary.
